Last night I offered my first Virtual EdTech PD session around the topic of "5+ Chrome extensions every teacher should know about." Thankfully two brave souls chose to join the webinar, and minus a few technical hiccups we were able to connect from our various locations successfully. One of the great things about Virtual PD is that it provides a flexible learning opportunity that allows both Synchronous and Asynchronous learning. Both participants were able to view my live presentation and interact with me when they had questions or comments - (synchronous interaction). I was also able to record the webinar and can share the entire archived presentation for independent viewing - (asynchronous interaction).
In total, I shared 9 different Google Chrome extensions. Each adds a new level of functionality to the Google Chrome browser that specifically supports educational needs. I've embedded the Google Slides Presentation below and included a link to the archived recording if you wish to hear and see my explanation and demonstration of each extension. The presentation also includes individual video supports for each extension.
I look forward to offering future Virtual PD opportunities (I'll be repeating this presentation on Tuesday, May 31st @8 p.m if you are interested)
